Using printer scanner functionality

Windows workstation

DigiPen workstations should automatically connect to all the printers which are currently available at the campus where they are located. If you don't see a printer that you expect to see please submit a Helpdesk ticket or follow the steps below on manually connecting to printers.

Connect to a printer

If you do not see the printer in the list or you are not able to set the printer as default, start by connecting to it on the print server:

At the US Willows Campus:

Start -> Run
type: \\print0
then hit enter.

At the SG Campus:

Start -> Run
type: \\print
then hit enter.

You will see a list of printers available for you to connect to. Right click on the printer of your choice and click 'Connect...'. Newly connected printers become the default.

Set a printer as the default

If you would like to change the default printer:

Start -> Settings -> Printers and Faxes
Right-click on the printer of your choice and click "Set as Default Printer".
If that completes successfully, you are finished and the printer will be available when you print from Word or any other application.
